Hertz on Demand
The University of Alberta is pleased to announce that the Hertz on Demand car sharing service is now available on North Campus. Hertz on Demand, introduced by the Office of Sustainability in conjunction with Facilities and Operations, provides members of the University community with an alternative to bringing their own vehicles to campus. It also supports the University's Travel Demand Management program, which helps reduce the environmental impact of University travel.
Hertz on Deman members pay an hourly fee to rent vehicles in the North Campus fleet. Cars are reserved online and activated with a personal card issued to the subscriber. Membership is available to anyone 18 years of age or older. If cars are being used for University business, members must be 19 years of age to qualify.
Cars are picked up and dropped off at the designated locations within our parking facilities. Fuel and insurance costs are included in the rental fee. All vehicles are SmartWay certified and have a 4 Star Safety Rating or better.
The vehicles are located at Lister Centre and in the Phys Ed East loop.
