Alumni House
Combining the elegance and comfort of a well-appointed home with the versatility of a small conference centre, Alumni House Meeting and Event Centre at the University of Alberta is a perfect choice for business meetings, presentations, receptions, social gatherings and special occasions. This beautifully renovated facility is located on Saskatchewan Drive and overlooks the scenic Edmonton River Valley.
Alumni House offers two meeting rooms on the main floor (Aon & Monnex Rooms), accommodating anywhere from 10 to 48 guests and includes a spacious reception area for parties of up to 80. All rooms offer unique settings with comfortable elegance. Natural lighting enhances the enjoyment of this historic home which features a cozy feel with its fireplace, soft seating and informal meeting space.
In addition to the main floor meeting rooms, Alumni House offers the Past Presidents' and Joseph Charyk Rooms (2nd floor) for meetings of up to 14 people each and the Brick Room (lower level) as a casual recreation room. These spaces are great for breakouts or for social events, bridal party ready room or a kid’s area!
Interested in hosting an outdoor event? Alumni House features a great backyard patio! This area can accommodate a tent (private supplier) to host an outdoor reception or event. No matter the style of event, our service-oriented Event Coordinators are well known for their ability to accommodate any request. They are committed to ensuring the success of your event by providing personalized attention to all your details. All events are professionally staffed to ensure the success of your function.
